Our state-of-the-art surgical suite provides for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures. This includes most routine feline surgeries: spay, neuter, tumor removal, cystotomy, and exploratory laparotomy.

Cat Hospital of Metairie does not perform declaw surgery on our patients. The American Association of Feline Practitioners has recently stated that they strongly oppose the surgery, and we stand by that.

We believe in creating a home environment that encourages appropriate scratching behavior. We believe in taking steps to address any problem scratching, from protecting furniture, clipping or covering claws, and preventing aggression. Our staff has a wealth of knowledge and is happy to advise you on how to handle your cat's scratching behavior.
